Area Spotlight focuses on local communities, describing their history, character, and lifestyle, as well as their housing and real estate market. With statistics, recent residential sales, places of interest, schools, and amenities, Area Spotlight is an indispensable resource. Ask the Expert presents a local expert providing a concise answer to readers' questions or concerns about home-owning, buying, or selling. Home Style offers a guide to home décor products and services, and tracks trends in decorating, furnishing, and interior design. In the Kitchen focuses on delicious, locally grown food—where to find it and how to prepare and enjoy it. Special focus on local farms, markets, and restaurants. In the Studio profiles the work of local artisans who create functional art for the home. In the Garden addresses the many gardeners in our readership. Each column is filled with information and inspiration from garden designer Susanne Turino Casal or Dean Riddle. Farm Notes is the monthly journal of organic farmer Thomas Christenfeld, who runs The Alleged Farm CSA in Washington County.
